Supporting you at every stage

Perimenopause

Menopause

Postmenopause

Many of your symptoms will have eased, but it’s important to protect your brain, bone and heart health.

Your appointment
What's included
  • An in-depth review of your symptoms with answers to any questions you have
  • Advice that's tailored to your needs. For example, if you’re looking for a perimenopause diagnosis, need help in considering if HRT is right for you, or if you’re struggling with your existing HRT or pill
  • HRT prescription planning, including body identical HRT options
  • A comprehensive post-appointment menopause plan, including a treatment/prescription recommendation letter for your GP
  • Safe & secure video consultation (using the same platform as the NHS)
  • Detailed patient notes that you can easily access at anytime
What's not included
  • Private prescriptions and other hidden costs

Our unique prescription recommendation service:

Private prescriptions can be expensive, with the cost of medicines, prescription fees and pharmacy dispensing fees costing up to £450/year.

As most HRT options (including body-identical hormones) are available on the NHS, we have worked with patients and GPs to develop a unique and cost-effective system that allows prescription recommendation letters to be passed onto your GP.

What sets us apart
We speak with women struggling with life-impacting menopause symptoms everyday, many of whom can't access the specialist medical care they desperately need. At the Health & Her Clinic, we're passionate about making this care accessible and affordable.
Menopause care for every woman

We've built an easy-to-use platform that gives you menopause care at the touch of a button. An appointment with one of our menopause specialist GPs is like seeing your traditional GP, but from the comfort of your own home and at a time that's convenient for you.

Appointments at an affordable price

Unlike other menopause clinics in the UK, we don't have a physical surgery and all of the extra costs with running this type of clinic. This allows us to keep prices below £150 for our consultation appointments.

Frequently asked questions on how our service works

We recommend that you give yourself 15 minutes to log into your account and click the button to start your video consultation. If you’re using your mobile phone and/or tablet outside of your home, try to go somewhere quiet where you feel comfortable discussing your health. Remember, this appointment is about giving you the advice and support you require, so we don’t want you disturbed.

Not sure where to start when it comes to discussing menopause with your doctor? Don’t worry, we’ve spoken to Dr Shilpa McQuillan who shares her practical advice for making the most of your appointment:

There’s no need to feel embarrassed

Try to remember that menopause is really common and your doctor will have seen it and heard it before. Be honest, tell your story, and most importantly explain how it’s affecting you. This will help your doctor tailor information and choices to suit you.

See your conversations as a journey together

Your doctor really wants to help, but may feel limited by the amount of information to discuss during your appointment. It’s important you don’t feel rushed, so think of your menopause as a journey and be prepared to arrange more than one appointment so that you feel all of your questions and concerns are addressed.

Prepare and research

Making a list of questions or points you want to discuss will ensure your GP understands your agenda from the start and will cover the things most important to you.

In addition, consider having some vital information ready to help your GP tailor advice that is safe and suitable for you.

This may include:

  • A symptom diary with timeline notes for changes to your mood, sleep patterns and/or periods.
  • Record of any relevant medical problems you or your close family members may have, such as history of breast or ovarian cancer, heart disease, or clots in the legs or lungs, as well as any previous operations you may have had on your womb, ovaries or cervix.

We take privacy and security very seriously and take all reasonable and appropriate measures to protect any personal data we may collect while operating our service. Our servers are located in the UK, and all of the information transmitted through our platform is encrypted and protected with SSL technology.

We also promise to uphold the Caldicott principles which ensure your information is protected and only used when it is appropriate to do so, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

To ensure safe prescribing of HRT, you are required to have an up to date blood pressure test - something that we are currently unable to facilitate online. Therefore, unlike other menopause clinics, we've developed a system that allows us to provide prescription recommendations to your GP via a recommendation letter which will be provided to you after your appointment. If you choose to pass this letter on to your GP, they will need to confirm if our recommendation is appropriate with consideration to the complete medical records they hold for you.

Most women find that prescription recommendations are a cost effective option as private prescriptions can cost up to £450/year (including cost of medicine, prescribing fees and pharmacy dispensing fees).

Yes, after your initial consultation you can book a follow-up 30 minute appointment for £135.
