Why do we have a bulking agent in our multi-vitamin tablets?
Why do we have a bulking agent in our multi-vitamin tablets?
The natural bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is used in small amounts in the Health & Her product range to support with the manufacturing process and delivery of the nutrients into the body. MCC is a natural polymer sourced from plant cell walls and is indigestible by the body. It enhances tablet disintegration, which is crucial for the release and bioavailability of the active ingredients in supplements, ensuring they are effectively absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract.
The safety of MCC has been affirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which deems it safe for all consumers, and the environment. Additionally, the Select Committee on GRAS Substances considers MCC safe when used in typical quantities.
I'm perimenopausal and on HRT - Should I take Multivitamin for Women Taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or the Perimenopause formula?
I'm perimenopausal and on HRT - Should I take Multivitamin for Women Taking Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) or the Perimenopause formula?
The Health & Her Perimenopause Supplement has a number of nutrients and adaptogenic botanicals with known phytoestrogenic effects (Red Clover, Sage, Wild Yam) in its formulation. This product has been designed to support women during perimenopause in 9 ways. However, taking prescribed HRT should provide you with all of the extra hormones that you need and your body is unlikely to be using the phytoestrogens in this supplement.
Our understanding of hormones and nutrient interactions is improving all the time (thanks to the extensive research we do, collaborating with universities) and our new product - H&H Multivitamin for Women Taking HRT - has been specifically designed to support the nutrients that scientific research shows can deplete when taking hormone replacement therapy so this supplement is probably the better choice if you're taking HRT.
However, it's important to note that there are no known contraindications of HRT with H&H Perimenopause Multi-Nutrient Supplement so if you're happy with your current regime or would like to continue to get the benefits from the other herbs like ashwagandha and ginseng then you can continue on your current regime.
