While the largest body of research has been on the oral menopause replacement therapy, this supplement has been designed to be taken alongside all forms of MHT. We regularly review the Summary of Product Characteristics (SPCs) for 27 commonly prescribed contraceptive medicines. Why do we have a bulking agent in our multi-vitamin tablets

The natural bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is used in small amounts in the Health & Her product range to support with the manufacturing process and delivery of the nutrients into the body. MCC is a natural polymer sourced from plant cell walls and is indigestible by the body. It enhances tablet disintegration, which is crucial for the release and bioavailability of the active ingredients in supplements, ensuring they are effectively absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The safety of MCC has been affirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), which deems it safe for all consumers, and the environment. Additionally, the Select Committee on GRAS Substances considers MCC safe when used in typical quantities.
